Exotic Flower Paintings

This is a watercolor painting of an Epiphyllum flower commonly known as Orchid Cactus, one of several in Elena's cactus and succulent collection.  Epiphyllums are an easy to grow tropical plants that will reward you with a number of beautiful large flowers in various shades of pink and white.  This Orchid Cactus will produce many buds and will can stay in flower for a couple of months in spring.  Each flower lasts for two to three days but many will turn into red fruits also known as dragon fruits.
