Aloe Nobilis

Aloe is a genus of succulents that embraces a large number of species and belongs to the Lily family.  The Aloe leaves contain a sticky fluid that is said to give relief for pain from small cuts or burns.  Romans used Aloe for first aid.  This summer blooming, low growing Aloe Nobilis is thriving in a section of Elena Roche's garden dedicated to succulents and cactus.
