This is a watercolor of a Bauhinia Blakeana, which is commonly called a Hong Kong Orchid Tree and is the symbol of the City of Hong Kong.  This work is painted from one of the two Bauhinia Blakeana flowering trees in the Southern California garden of Elena Roché.
